The Federal Communications Commission Authorization Act of 1988 was enacted on November 3, 1988, to provide authorization for appropriations for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and to make various other provisions. The Act authorizes $107,250,000 in fiscal year 1988 and $109,250,000 in fiscal year 1989 for the administration of the FCC's activities, as well as provisions for travel reimbursement, annual management reports, fee schedules, and grants for older Americans programs. Additionally, it amends several sections of the Communications Act of 1934 to provide for tariff review procedures and makes other changes related to the regulation of communications services.
