Federal Land Exchange Facilitation Act of 1988

The Federal Land Exchange Facilitation Act of 1988 was enacted to facilitate and expedite land exchanges between federal and private parties. The act amends existing laws to provide for more uniform rules and regulations in land appraisals, establishes procedures for resolving appraisal disputes, and provides funding authorization for fiscal years 1989-1998. It also requires a study on improvements in handling information related to federal and other lands.
