"On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) launched strategic market status (SMS) investigations into Apple's and Google's mobile ecosystems. The investigations will assess the firms' position in their respective mobile operating systems, app stores, and browsers to determine whether they have SMS and potentially impose conduct requirements or pro-competition interventions."
