On 12/12/2024, the National Agency of Electrical Energy (ANEEL) issued an update regarding Brazil achieves new record for generation expansion. The country reached a new annual high of 10,321 megawatts (MW), surpassing the previous record set in 2023 at 10,316 MW. This growth is attributed to the addition of 31.5 MW of power from seven wind turbines at the Serra do Assuruá 13 wind farm in Bahia, with solar and wind sources accounting for 91% of this expansion.
