"On December 10, 2024, the Federal Public Ministry (Ministério Público Federal – MPF) issued an update regarding 'MPF creates human rights protection mechanism to monitor compliance with international obligations'. The Mechanism Nacional de Monitoramento do Cumprimento das Obrigações Internacionais de Direitos Humanos (MCOIDH) will identify and monitor international recommendations and decisions addressed to Brazil, as well as judicial and extrajudicial measures taken by the MPF to fulfill these obligations."
