"On December 6, 2024, the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE), through its mobile special inspection group, rescued seven Guarani-Mbya indigenous workers from slave-like labor conditions in a mandioca farm in Itapiranga, Santa Catarina. The operation was carried out with the collaboration of the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office, the Union's Public Defender's Office, and the Federal Police."
