"On "09/12/2024", the "Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT)" issued an update regarding "Discussions to be held on the formulation of common infrastructure guidelines for the introduction of Level 4 autonomous driving in airport restricted areas - 19th meeting of the "Study Committee for the Realization of Autonomous Driving in Airport Restricted Areas" to be held. The committee aims to discuss and finalize guidelines for common infrastructure and operational rules for autonomous vehicles by the end of this year."
