On April 12, 2024, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) issued an update regarding MHRA trials five innovative AI technologies as part of pilot scheme to change regulatory approach. The selected medical devices have potential to significantly improve diagnosis and care of patients, particularly those with cancer and chronic respiratory diseases, by increasing accuracy, reducing hospital admissions, and improving efficiency in radiology reporting and cancer care.
