UFRN creates cloud computing environment with TV Box provided by the Federal Revenue Service

On March 27, 2023, an Agreement for Technical Cooperation was signed between the Federal Revenue Service and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. The agreement enables the reuse of TV Boxes seized by the tax authority, transforming them into mini PCs, PBX IP central units, and IoT sensor hubs. Since its inception, over 6,500 TV Boxes have been donated to the university, which uses them for various purposes in courses related to telecommunications engineering.
