FRC publishes Annual Review of Corporate Governance Reporting

On 26/11/2024, the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) issued an update regarding FRC publishes Annual Review of Corporate Governance Reporting. The review highlights the importance of high-quality explanations for companies' departures from Code provisions and emphasizes investors', proxy advisors', and service providers' roles in supporting well-governed companies. The revised Code takes effect in January 2025, introducing outcomes-focused reporting and enhanced risk management requirements, including strengthened reporting on risk management and internal controls starting from 2027.
