"On 13/04/2024, the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) issued an update regarding SAHPRA recalls two batches of Benylin Paediatric Syrup". Two batches, namely 329304 and 329303, have been identified with high levels of diethylene glycol and are being recalled from distribution in six countries. This is a Class 1, Type A recall due to the serious product quality concern and potential severe consequences, including fatal outcomes.
