"On 4 October 2024, the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) and the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), strengthening collaboration between the two health product regulators. The MoU aims to improve capabilities in assessing medical products and therapeutic goods, as well as monitoring for continued efficacy, safety, and quality once registered. This agreement will enhance data sharing and expertise between SAHPRA and TGA, ultimately benefiting public health outcomes in both countries."
