On "30/03/2024", the European Commission delegated directive (EU) 2024/1416 was issued, amending Directive 2011/65/EU. This amendment concerns an exemption for cadmium in downshifting quantum dots directly deposited on LED semiconductor chips.


The directive was submitted by Mary Creagh CBE MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Minister for Nature), Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.


This update relates to the EU directive 2011/65/EU, also known as the RoHS Directive.
