Brief

On November 7, residents and business owners along the upper Severn Valley are invited to a drop-in session at Newtown Library to learn about plans to manage water and enhance communities in the area. The Severn Valley Water Management Scheme (SVWMS) aims to create resilient environments across the Upper Severn catchment.

The partnership of Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, Powys County Council, and Shropshire Council will be present at the drop-in sessions to discuss the development of plans to make the Severn a more vibrant and resilient river catchment. The sessions will provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about the project, ask questions, and share their views.

The SVWMS is exploring different funding approaches to take forward future implementation in a challenging funding environment.
