Brief
'The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Act 1990 is a compilation of the law as amended and in force on 10 July 2024. The compilation includes amendments made up to, but not commenced at, the compilation date. The notes at the end of this compilation provide information about amending laws and the amendment history of provisions of the compiled law.
The Act relating to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development commences on the day it receives Royal Assent. It defines the Bank as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and includes an appropriation provision for the purpose of making payments to the Bank under the Bank Agreement. The Act also provides for the issue of securities by the Treasurer in lieu of any payment that Australia is required to make to the Bank.
The compilation includes amendments made by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Amendment Act 2005, the Treasury Laws Amendment (Delivering Better Financial Outcomes and Other Measures) Act 2024, and the Select Legislative Instrument No. 200, 2012.
