Key changes include:
Inclusion of additional content in national risk-based control plans, such as the species to be sampled, national legislation on pharmacologically active substances, and competent authorities responsible for implementation.
Revisions to the submission and evaluation of national risk-based control plans and national randomised surveillance plans.
Changes to the data transmission requirements, including the reporting of follow-up measures taken by competent authorities.
Amendments to Annex I, setting out the minimum sampling frequencies for certain control measures.
The regulation will enter into force on the twentieth day following its publication and will apply from 1 January 2025.
