Brief
The Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2563 amends Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1646 to provide additional content for national risk-based control plans and national randomised surveillance plans in the food and feed sector. The changes include:
Including type of follow-up measures taken by competent authorities in national risk-based control plans and national randomised surveillance plans.
Removing the need for Member States to refer to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) for non-compliance data.
Clarifying the submission of control plans and surveillance plans to the Commission.
Defining the minimum sampling frequencies for certain substances and commodity groups.
The Regulation applies from 1 January 2025 and is binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
