The UIBM (Italian Industrial Property Authority) issued over 37,000 proceedings in 2023, according to its 2023 Report. Of these, 9,781 titles were granted national validity, including 8,221 patents for industrial inventions and 1,384 patents for utility models. Additionally, there were approximately 24,100 validations of European patents. The number of new patent applications for industrial inventions and utility models also increased in 2023.
