Summary:
The Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has undergone a reorganization, effective March 1, 2024, with a new structural layout. According to Decree n. 230/2023, the Ministry is now divided into three departments, each consisting of general directorates and non-general directorate staff offices. The three departments are:
1. Department for Social Policies, Third Sector, and Migrant Policies
2. Department for Labour,Insurance, and Health and Safety in the Workplace
3. Department for Innovation, General Administration, Personnel, and Services
The Ministry has taken over the functions previously performed by the National Agency for Active Labour Policies (ANPAL), which has been abolished. The reorganization aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Ministry's activities.
