Technical problems for the submission of the first CBAM report: 30 day extension

On January 31, 2024, the European Commission announced that a new feature will be available in the CBAM Transitional Registry starting from February 1, 2024. This feature will allow declarants to request an additional 30 days to submit their CBAM report for the fourth quarter of 2023, which is currently due on January 31, 2024. The Commission encourages declarants without significant technical issues to submit their CBAM report by the end of the reference period as many have already done. Additionally, the Commission reminds declarants that they can modify and correct their first three quarterly CBAM reports until July 31, 2024.
